Clemenzi Music is a family-owned lesson studio and one of the most in-demand places to learn guitar, bass, and drums outside of Boston. Eric has been teaching private lessons since 1995, and the studio has called Georgetown home since 2014.
Eric is a veteran music instructor. He began teaching in 1995 during his junior year of high school, taught at the Musical Suite in Newburyport from 1999 to 2004, and has run his own studio ever since.
A 2001 graduate of Berklee College of Music, Eric took 2nd place in Guitar Player Magazine's 2010 national guitar competition and toured with the Dark Desert Eagles from 2017 to 2019.
He has shared the stage with Mattias “IA” Eklundh (Freak Kitchen), Dave LaRue (Steve Morse, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci), and all of the current members of Extreme — Kevin Figueiredo, Nuno Bettencourt, Gary Cherone, and Pat Badger. Today he continues his musical journey with his family band, the Foo Family.
Every lesson is built around each student's interests and crafted to help them reach their musical goals. Beyond one-on-one guitar, bass, and drum instruction, there are plenty of ways to grow.
Acoustic or electric, rock to fingerstyle. Build a real foundation in technique, chords, rhythm, and the songs you actually want to play.
Lock in with the groove. Develop timing, tone, and the pocket that makes a band feel great — from your first line to advanced playing.
Find your groove behind the kit. Build the timing, coordination, and feel that drive every great band — from your first beat to full grooves and fills.
Take what you learn and play it with others. Students team up in ensembles to rehearse, perform, and experience the thrill of playing in a real band.
Bring your ideas to life. Students can write and record their own songs, learning the craft of turning a musical idea into a finished track.
Understand what you're playing. Music theory and ear training give you the tools to read, hear, and speak the language of music with confidence.
Pick the lesson length that works for you. Every lesson is private, one-on-one instruction.

Here's the short version up top. If you're curious about the "why" behind it, the full story is tucked below. Please let me know if you have any questions — thanks!
My family and I currently survive off of one income — the studio policy is here to ensure we can pay our bills and stay in business year after year.
One element that will help keep prices low is my slightly modified cancellation policy. Most pro-studios in the area don't allow credits for missed lessons — if you miss, you pay, no exceptions. Since I am a one-person operation, I can make things a little more flexible. If you give me at least three days' notice, in most cases I will be able to fill the spot. Anything less, and it is MUCH more difficult to find a replacement. If I find a replacement, there is no charge. I will let you know at the next lesson if I was able to find a fill-in.
If you need to vacate your spot, please give me at least two weeks' notice. I do have a waiting list, though it still takes time to make permanent changes to my schedule. If you need to leave your spot abruptly and can't give me two weeks' notice, I kindly ask that you cover the two weeks of lessons, just so we are covered financially if I can't get a student in right away. If you cannot attend lessons for an extended period of time and would like to retain your spot, let me know, and we can work out a compensation plan that is fair for both of us.
The policy above will ensure that we can keep paying rent at the studio and all of the bills at home. If you have any questions or concerns about my policy, please let me know. We are grateful for your support, and with your help, we will be able to keep prices low for a while longer!
Thank you!!
